Sonnet

The sonnet that I have decided to write about is sonnet 130. In this sonnet, Shakespear tells a stpry of a man and his mistress. By mistress, he does not mean in the adultrous way but that she is his wife. For the first 3/4 of the poem, he has the reader believing that the the man did not like his mistress. However, the last two lines of the sonnet paint a different story. It actually tells the reader that the man really does love his mistress.

The final two lines described how much the man loved his mistress. He says that he thinks that she is the most beautiful women in the world. He says that he does not want to lie and and exaggerate with his words. He just wants to tell her the way that he feels without using something that is not realistic. He shows his live simply by using just two lines to describe his love for her.

  1. Good job, but whats a stpry? Just kidding, but i think you should talk about if the theme is true or not.

  2. I agree with your view. He goes about describing his love in a different way, but it is a unique one. Overall good interpritation.
